American Girl Doll class at Camp Sparta Summer Session teaches students about the 1900s

Students from the American Girl Dolls class at Camp Sparta recently learned how to play games from the early 1900s when staff from the Monroe County Local History Room visited. The summer session focused on American Girl Dolls, historical fiction, and making projects — along with reading an American Girl Doll story. It finished with a tea party. Dolls were welcome to join. Jared Roll and Hannah Scholze from the Monroe County Local History Room brought several games including Hoop and Stick, Graces, Cup and Ball and a Tea Cup Relay for the students to try.
