The Edge students are starting a new community service initiative that will build on their established Quilts for Kids project.
They will be making Fidget Mats for local dementia residents. These hand-made pieces have items attached to help keep the hands and minds of these residents occupied.
To get this new project started, the Edge program needs large buttons, Ric-Rac trim, zippers, Velcro, key chains, tiny stuffed animals, fake fur, cloth ribbons, and other items that might work.
The Quilts for Kids program makes comfort quilts for children that go by ambulance for come to the Sparta Hospital Emergency Room. This program could use fabric donations.
