The EDGE Program ran a food drive the week of Halloween at the Middle School to help stock the new Sparta Area School District Food Pantry at Meadowview.  Students and staff brought in more than 1,500 items of food during the food drive. Students enjoyed competing as CPRs to see who could bring in the most. The winner this year was Ms. Kerstin Taylor’s eighth graders. Students had a great time helping other families in our school district.

EDGE students are integrating the pantry project into the curriculum by sorting the food and weighing the food. They plan to also create a PowerPoint presentation about the food pantry to educate other students who attend Meadowview Middle.
