As part of Sparta High School’s efforts to ensure the best possible start for the incoming Freshman class, the first day of school, Sept. 1, was devoted only to the class of 2020.
During the “Freshman First Day,” students reported to their assigned Grad Groups and had Senior mentors to lead them through morning activities, orient them to the building, and explain the high school experience. The ninth grade students also participated in career development activities and went through their class schedule.
“This year’s transition day was a great success,” Principal Sam Russ said. “We are looking forward to another successful year at Sparta High.”
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors had their first day of school on Sept. 2.
