The mission of the Southside Elementary PTO is to promote the community of parents, teachers, and staff in supporting the students of Southside School. Our vision is to enhance the educational experience of students by supporting and supplementing the needs of teachers to promote academic and enrichment activities. To do this we need to promote parent involvement. PTO meetings are typically held at 6:00 pm on the 3rd Sunday of the month at Culver’s, Sparta.
Southside PTO raises money to pay for items such as: T-Shirts for new students to be worn on field trips, for the spring concert, and during assemblies; student field trips; playground equipment; building equipment such as water fountains with water bottle filler and ceiling fans for the gymnasium/cafeteria; books for the classrooms; and more.
This year, the Southside fundraiser will be a Spring Carnival. Please come to the next PTO meeting to find out more about this! We collect Box Tops and Milk Moola milk caps and bag tops. You may send them in your child’s backpack or place them in the collection boxes in the front entry.
