On stage at Sparta High School this weekend is Agatha Christie’s well-known murder mystery, “The Mousetrap.” Performances will be Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 1, at 2 p.m. at the Sparta High School auditorium. Tickets cost $5 for general admission and $3 for students and are available at the door.
The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive are finally revealed.
The cast of characters include Mollie Ralston (Grace Hellman), Giles Ralston (Michael Krpan), Christopher Wren (Nathan Janzen), Mrs. Boyle (Holly Larsen), Major Metcalf (Zach Holcomb), Miss Casewell (Delaney Schaller), Miss Paravicini (Cheyenne Clark) and Sergeant Trotter (Jessica Janzen). The play is directed by Nick Johnston.
