NOTES FROM THE AD'S DESK

"On behalf of the Activities Department of the Sparta School District, we welcome you to the new school year. We are very proud of our Spartans and are excited about the future of our programs. Athletics and other co-curricular activities are one of the most important elements in the overall education of our students. Sports and co-curricular activities provide an opportunity to extend the learning process through interscholastic competition, community involvement and personal growth options."

-Mike Montgomery, Activities Director

Why Athletics and Co-Curriculars?
The answer is simple: it assists the educational process in instilling and developing skills necessary for future success.

Activities Department Philosophy
Co-Curricular activities are an extension of the classroom experience for the student-athlete. We are not a separate entity unto ourselves. We exist to enhance the experiences student-athletes receive first in the classroom.

The Sparta activities program is consistent with school's overall philosophy and objectives. We provide a vigorous and diverse athletic program, offering opportunities to all of our students.
