Principal's Message

Principal Bill OttThank you for visiting our website to learn more about Meadowview Middle School. We are so excited for the school year! Our staff continues to work hard to prepare engaging and rewarding learning experiences for all students. At MVMS, we place a high value on our partnership with parents, families, and community and we invite you to be an active part of helping students to achieve their full potential.

We consider it a privilege to work with your kids every day to help them be their very best selves. We believe that each and every student has a gift to share with the world, and we work hard to unlock their highest potential. We have high expectations of our students, and we have high expectations of ourselves to help all MVMS students learn and grow into well-rounded citizens and critical thinkers. MVMS aims to develop leadership skills, social and emotional skills, and academic skills to prepare students for success not only in middle school but also in high school, career, relationships, and life-long learning.

Meadowview Middle School students will be taught to view themselves as learners and to think about what it looks like to be a good learner and thinker. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are as important as content knowledge, so it is important for all students to acquire the analytical, evaluative, and creative skills to apply such thinking toward becoming successful in the jobs of the future.

MVMS offers a wide variety of sports and extracurricular opportunities.  We want every student to be involved in some sort of activity.  Statistics show that students who are involved tend to get better grades and have less behavior problems.  Please see myself or Mr. Sanders if you have any questions regarding sports or other clubs/activities.

Please continue to visit our website for updates throughout the year. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can reach me at wott@spartan.org or 608-366-3497. We invite you to be our partners in our work. We look forward to working with families to accomplish great things for our students!

Sincerely,
William Ott
