At a recent Wisconsin Association of Agriculture Educators (WAAE) conference, Sparta High School Ag teacher, Eric Follendorf, presented and was recognized by his local collegues. Mr. Follendorf presented workshops on controlling bacteria and antibiotics, reproductive estrous hormones, photosynthesis, and respiration of plants. He assisted in assigning over 40 new teachers with mentors across the state and is currently mentoring four local teachers.
Mr. Follendorf also became the Section 3 Vice President of the WAAE Board and for the next two years will work to make Ag Education stronger in the state of Wisconsin. Lastly, Mr. Follendorf was nominated for Mentor Teacher of the Year in the Section 3 Team which consists of 27 area schools and over 30 teachers.
