Sparta Board of Education Adopts Operating Resolution to be Placed on April Ballot
On Monday, January 8, 2024, the Sparta Board of Education unanimously approved an operating resolution, which is the official action taken to place an operational referendum question on the April 2, 2024, Spring ballot. The single question on the ballot will ask voters to authorize exceeding revenue limits by $750,000 per year for two years, beginning with the 2024-2025 school year and ending with the 2025-2026 school year for operational expenses, including for maintenance, safety, security, technology, and staff compensation and benefits.
More information will be provided to local residents through our spartan.org website, social media, mailers, local newspaper, and informational sessions. The Board of Education encourages all residents to actively participate in the discussions and share their insights.
