What Constitutes a Spartan Lunch
What food items do I need to take to make a Spartan Lunch?
The cost of a full paid Spartan Lunch is $3.10 at the High School, $3.00 at Meadowview and $2.85 for PreK through third grade, $.40 cents for students who qualify for reduced cost meals, and students who qualify for free meals eat for free.
Students must be offered a lunch that contains:
- Food prepared from the 5 meal components
- Serving sizes that are appropriate for the age/group level
The 5 meal components are:
- Meat or Meat Alternate Offering
- Vegetable Offering
- Fruit Offering
- Bread/Grain Offering
- Milk Offering
Students must take a fruit or a vegetable to qualify for a Spartan Lunch.
Notice: Students who do not take 3 of the 5 meal components at the High School will be charged ala carte pricing. Students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade must take 3 of the 5 meal components.
